Sandra Liliana Olivera Gálvez

She is a forestry engineer who graduated from the National University of Central Peru, Huancayo. She has more than 20 years of experience in non-governmental organizations advising on the production of forest seedlings in rural communities.

She has also worked as an advisor to the forest management committee of the Aguaytía river basin. She is an activist and worked against illegal cuttings, drawing the baseline to reduce deforestation.

She has worked as a local forest advisor, as coordinator of agroecological projects in municipalities in agreement with the National Commission for Development and Life without Drugs (DEVIDA), and as an advisor to the native community forest program (of the Ministry of the Environment).

She identifies very well with native communities, mainly with organizations, seeking the economic development of their activities and inserting them in fair trade markets to conserve their forests.

She strongly accompanies the women of the native community in profitable activities, making them participants in their economic self-sustainability, revaluing their culture and gender.
